Dorridge Village Hall is run by a group of UNPAID VOLUNTEERS. This group is called the Dorridge Village Hall Association, which is composed of members of regular user groups and other volunteers.
The association is controlled by a Management Committee, elected from the members, and run on a day-to-day basis by a small executive group of the elected and honorary officers.
The Association employs third party organisations to run the bar, to carry out regular cleaning and other tasks such as waste disposal.
Dorridge Village Hall was built in 1975 from donations and grants from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council who still retain the freehold for this site.
On 22 April 1977 Dorridge Village Hall Association (DVHA) was formed and became a registered charity (506221). This Association was set up to maintain, develop and manage the Hall and promote it for the benefit of the residents of Dorridge and the surrounding area by fostering a community spirit.
